My goal in life is to never be typecasted, especially as the “fat best friend”. My first acting gig, I played the older sister on a hit tween TV comedy. And before I could be typecast as the quirky big sister, I quit to join a huge crime franchise as a villain for a season.

Now, it’s my turn as the leading lady in a new Korean-American romantic comedy called Perfect Fit.

Since K-dramas became all the rage in the west, my name went from “might be on social media trends” to “Sexiest Man Alive” almost overnight. And to be honest, I’m kind of sick of it.

My next role is also a leading man, but more of a “grumpy” type as opposed to my usual “golden retriever” characters. I feel things are looking up.
